Whipped Potatoes
Ingredients
- 4 lbs russet potatoes
- 1 1/2 cup whole milk
- 8 tbsp butter (1 stick)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Cut potatoes into 1 inch pieces
- Rinse under running water for 1 min
- Steam potatoes about 20 - 25 minutes
- Melt butter in milk. Add salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat and cover to keep warm
- Heat potatoes in dutch oven to dry out. (I don't usually do this.)
- Break up potatoes with a mixer on low speed.
- Gradually add in milk mixture
- Mix at high for a couple of minutes
